AKC Trick Dog Titles are a great way to showcase the strong bond between you and your dog. To be eligible for titles, your dog must have an AKC number. If your dog is mixed-breed, you can register with AKC Canine Partners. If your dog is purebred without papers, you can register with AKC Purebred Alternative Listing.
Video evaluations are $15 each. If you are submitting more than one application at once, each additional submission is $10 each.
Instructions
Download the appropriate Tricks Checklist. Identify which tricks you will be performing.
Record a video of your dog performing the tricks. Upload the video to Google Drive, Youtube, Vimeo, or another sharing service.
Please note: Lures may only be used for novice level tricks (unless otherwise permitted). Food rewards may be used after tricks for all levels.
Please note: Due to potential security risks, we do not accept files attached to emails. Videos must be sent using a shareable link from a video sharing service, such as Google Drive.
Complete the Google Form here. Please use a separate form for each level. If your video is denied by the evaluator, we will allow you to resubmit a new video free of charge to resolve failed tricks.
Once approved, we will send you a signed copy of the Tricks Checklist form.
Complete the Tricks Checklist form, and the Trick Dog Title Application (with the applicable fee to the AKC noted on the Trick Dog Title Application) or use the online title application portal.
